Like us, we're sure you are extremely concerned about the future of our swimming pool on Castle Vale. You may also be puzzled as to what to make of some of the conflicting comments about it, particularly the alarmist campaigning of Labour Councillors. We therefore wanted to let you know our position. We have recently written to all residents of Castle Vale and this statement reflects what we said in our letter.

The spring conference of the Liberal Democrats is coming to Birmingham. Party leader Nick Clegg MP, supported by Shadow Chancellor, Vince Cable MP and other top members of the Liberal Democrat team will meet at the International Conference Centre in Birmingham's city centre from Friday 12 - Sunday 14 March.

In a policy paper Safer Streets - More & Better Police the Liberal Democrats have committed themselves to providing 3,000 additional police nationwide to tackle crime and improve detection rates.

Following a key speech by party leader Nick Clegg, Cllr Ann Holtom, Parliamentary Candidate for Birmingham Erdington, has set out locally the four campaign priorities: fair taxes; a fair start for every child; fair, clean and local politics and a fair, green economy with jobs that last.
